Eirini Stratigakou-Polychronaki, MD
Postdoctoral Scholar
Eirini was born in Greece and received her Medical Diploma from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2023). While in Medical School, she earned her Minor in Information Technology from the American College of Greece – Deree (2021). Her previous research involved developing eye-movement tracking pipelines for Square Wave Jerk detection in PSP and studying the neuropathology of a chronic stroke mouse model. As a postdoctoral scholar in the Elahi Lab, Eirini is working on developing image analysis algorithms for clinical and neuropathology imaging data, as well as understanding how menopausal hormonal changes affect cognition and neurodegeneration in women. Outside of work, Eirini enjoys long walks with her dog, exploring new places and visiting museums.
