Elita Farahdel

Clinical Research Coordinator

Elita graduated from Yale University in 2023, where she earned her B.A. in both Comparative Literature and History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. During her time at Yale, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Courage Lab under Dr. Michael Crowley, understanding the brain-based predictors of childhood anxiety, avoidance, and risk-aversion. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. In 2024, Elita completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Paris, France where she received her MSc in Public Health at Université Paris Cité and worked as a graduate researcher evaluating the cognitive abilities among extremely preterm infants at INSERM, under the Obstetrical Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology Research Team. Prior to joining the Elahi lab, she worked as a clinical research coordinator investigating maternal and infant antibodies against RSV, the vaginal microbiome’s role in cervical dysplasia, and addressing racial health disparities in maternal and child health. At the Elahi Lab, she works as a clinical research coordinator focusing on women’s brain health. Outside the lab, she devotes her time to cooking, reading, physical fitness, and is fluent in 5 languages.
