Behavioral Neurology Fellow

Dr. Ophir is a behavioral neurologist with a distinguished background in dementia research, having previously directed a young-onset dementia clinic and research program at Rabin Medical Center in Israel. Currently pursuing a behavioral neurology fellowship at Mount Sinai in New York, where he resides with his spouse and three children, Ophir is pioneering innovative research focused on developing online, unsupervised questionnaires for self-diagnosis of non-memory dementia symptoms. His groundbreaking work aims to address underdiagnosis in diverse populations, enhance artificial intelligence's capacity to interpret electronic medical records, and improve biomarker and genomics research accuracy by identifying and filling clinical data gaps. Beyond his research, Ophir is deeply committed to public engagement in neuroscience, actively participating in volunteer outreach through lectures, media writing, and support groups that bridge scientific knowledge with community understanding.
