Pauline Maciel August, PhD

Pauline was born in Brazil and received her PhD in Biochemistry from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Her PhD thesis was focused on how maternal exercise could bring positive adaptations to the offspring’s brain development. As a postdoc, she is working on building an in vitro vascular model for CADASIL to ask all sorts of questions! Outside the lab, she’s always down for fun events and gastronomic experiences.
