Stories that connect—unmet needs and human resilience
Rare monogenic diseases stand to be among the first to be cured, and discoveries could help pave the path to treatments that will benefit more common disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. However, living with a rare genetic disease, such as CADASIL, or caring for someone with rare disease, can be isolating and at times overwhelming. In an effort to raise awareness and shed light on journeys of resilience, we are proud to highlight CADASIL stories. These videos offer a glimpse into the lives of individuals navigating the complexities of this condition, their motivations for participating in research, and their hope for the future.
Age is the most important risk factor for dementia. Hear from those who have defied age. What they do and how they live and hear stories.
If you are 18 or older (no upper limit!) and interested in research contact us to learn about eligibility. We enroll healthy adults, people at risk for dementia-causing diseases or those who already have symptoms. Mount Sinai has a rich research ecosystem. If you are not eligible for one of our studies we will direct you to a study that would be a good fit.
